EuPC Building & Construction Forum 2018 joins the EU Green Week 2018

Under the headline “Sustainable Performance of Buildings”, EuPC will hold its Building & Construction Forum in Milan, on 24 May 2018. The event will gather major representatives of the European plastics converting industry, local and national authorities, machinery producers and media. The Forum will focus on how plastic construction products contribute to the Circular Economy and to Greener Cities, by highlighting best practices and presenting case studies.

The Building and Construction Forum is a partner event of EU Green Week 2018, joining the movement by exploring ways in which the EU is helping cities become better places to live and work and by encouraging local authorities and citizens to share their vision of a sustainable future.

During the Forum, representatives as well as leaders of the European plastics converting industry will share their knowledge and experience on industry trends and present their case studies on circularity of their products. Among the speakers, the event will welcome: Myriam Tryjefaczka (Chair of EuPC Building & Construction Division), Raffaella Sartini (Idrotherm2000 / Unionplast), Edmund Vankann (European Carpet and Rug Association), Bernard Merkx (RevinylFloor), Daniel Gallina (Gallina / European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders) and speakers from the sponsors Covestro and Vynova.

The Building & Construction Forum will be followed by the EuPC Annual Conference on 25 May 2018. The central theme of the conference will be "A Circular Future with Plastics" and the discussion will include topics such as the growing importance of waste prevention or reuse and recycling in the light of the latest guidelines expressed by the European institutions in the European Strategy for Plastics and in the Voluntary Commitments of the plastics industry.

The event will take place in the Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan. More information and registration details for the EuPC Annual Conference, as well as for the Building & Construction Forum, are available on the website circularfuturewithplastics.eu, where the final program will soon be published.
